New treaty between the Canadian and the US governments.
The new treaty between the Canadian and the US governments about the cutbacks in commercial fishing will bring (according to the DFO Department of Oceans and Fisheries) an estimated 50.000 extra Chinook salmon to the central BC coast! Many of these salmon pass by the 'wall' on their way in from the open ocean according to the DFO. The 'Wall' is only 5 minutes away from Rivers Inlet Sportsman's Club!

Driftnet fishery of the coast of Ireland closed
The DFO also states that 2009 will give a good coho return including big 'northern'coho up to 25lbs! This will give fly anglers a great chance at saltwater fly-fishing for coho!! Research by the DFO has proven that more salmon congregate at the 'Wall' then any other spot along the Canadian west coast! 2009 promises to be a very good year for salmon! This combined with the unrivalled scenery and the excellent service at Rivers Inlet Sportsman's Club will guaranty a wonderful holiday at Rivers Inlet! Check for specials and book now! Come to Canada and join the fun!
